Business Development Manager

Job summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and business development, with a proven track record of driving growth and building lasting client relationships within the relocation industry or the human resources / people industry.


Key responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement Strategies: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our client base.
  • Sales Process Management: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve personal and company goals and objectives.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects, clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Lead Generation: Conduct sales initiatives to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Account Implementation and Development: Account Manage new business, support implementation team for onboarding and create upsell / cross sell strategies for continued account growth.
  • Sales Events: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients. Attend industry events and exhibitions.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • System Management: Monitor and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management.

Abilities and qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably in a similar industry.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail. Being meticulous in following up enquiries promptly and being forensic with writing proposals and bids.
  • Ability to analyse data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce preferably) and marketing automation tools.
  • Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and adaptable to changing market conditions.
